Lorraine Humphrey, newly appointed Head of Activities at Winton House, brings with her a wealth of experience from her 12-year tenure as a Senior Carer at Nicholas House, our sister residence. Her passion for working with the elderly and providing emotional support has been a driving force throughout her career.
In her role as Head of Activities, Lorraine orchestrates a diverse range of events and engagements for our residents, spanning from in-home crafts to outings and entertainment, including recent visits from St. George’s School and Bloom Baby Classes.
Transitioning to Winton House just over two months ago, Lorraine has already found immense joy in her interactions with residents, relishing in their stories and the opportunity to bring happiness and engagement through various activities. Despite occasional challenges in motivating all residents to participate, Lorraine remains steadfast in her dedication.
She expresses deep gratitude for the warm and welcoming environment fostered by Winton House, where she feels valued and excited to undertake her new role.
Lorraine actively contributes to cultivating a positive and collaborative workplace culture by understanding her team members’ strengths, weaknesses, and passions, and supporting them in achieving their personal goals.
